The Regulated Worker User Group helps us connect with regulated workers and regulated businesses. Regulated workers are 'employee-like' workers performing digital platform work and regulated road transport contractors.
The Regulated Worker User Group is one of the ways we are trying to help affected workers and businesses understand:
- what the changes are and how they might be affected
- how to engage with our consultation processes.
The group is open to anyone with an interest in how we are implementing the incoming changes.
New members can join at any time. Participation is voluntary. The format of the group may change as the new jurisdictions start and evolve. Members can leave the group at any time.

A group for sharing information and ideas
We share information and ideas with the group — We provide the group with information about our new regulated worker functions, including about setting minimum standards and dealing with disputes. We keep the group up to date on our progress in implementing the changes.
The group shares information and ideas with us — We want to know:
- how can we best provide advice and education to affected workers and businesses?
- how can we reach affected workers and businesses?
Group members share information with their communities — Group members take the information we share with them back to their communities, networks, colleagues and neighbours.
The Regulated Worker User Group is not linked to the Road Transport Advisory Group or any other consultation processes or groups required under the legislation. It is also separate from any consultations or other processes that we may undertake as part of dealing with applications once the new functions have commenced.
