The organisation has 4 branches. Each branch is a reporting unit for the purposes of financial reporting.
The supreme control of the organisation is vested in National Council, which is made up of the National Office Bearers and other representatives from the branches of the organisation. The organisation also comprises a Finance Committee of the National Council and a National Committee of Management.
The business of each branch is controlled by the respective Branch Committee of Management.
The National Office Bearers are elected annually, other than the National Secretary and Assistant National Secretary who are elected every 4 years.
The office positions within each Branch Committee of Management are also elected every 4 years. Elections for office positions within the organisation are conducted by the Australian Electoral Commission.
