The Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association made five applications to change five awards.

Five applications were made by the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association for a variation to preserve long service leave entitlements under section 158 of the Fair Work Act 2009. The matters were heard concurrently.
The following modern awards were the subject of the applications:
- Fast Food Industry Award 2010
- General Retail Industry Award 2010
- Hair and Beauty Industry Award 2010
- Vehicle Manufacturing, Repair, Services and Retail Award 2010
- Pharmacy Industry Award 2010
