The Australian Retailers Association has applied to change the General Retail Industry Award 2020. The Fair Work Commission also proposes to change the award.
The application by the Australian Retailers Association has been made under section 158 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (AM2024/9).
It seeks to vary multiple clauses in the General Retail Industry Award 2020 intended to improve award flexibility and to clarify entitlements.
The Fair Work Commission also proposes to vary the award under section 160 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (AM2023/17).
It seeks to change the word "establishment" to "retailer" in clause 15.2(c) of the General Retail Industry Award 2020, to correct an inadvertent change that occurred in the ordinary hours clause during the 4 yearly review. Further to decision [2024] FWCFB 197, AM2023/17 is now closed.
This page provides access to documents in both AM2024/9 and AM2023/17.
